One Year of Blogging!

It seems fitting to me that I wrapped up my first year of blogging by spending the weekend at Rolex with several of the outstanding ladies who inspired me to start my own blog. This wasn’t the first time I’ve driven halfway across the country to spend time with random people I’ve met on the internet, and I’m sure it won’t be the last. Obviously I haven’t been murdered or mugged yet (thanks Aimee and Karen), and my conclusion is that horse people are pretty damn awesome. I had an absolutely ridiculously awesome time this weekend, and I can't wait to write about it.

In the last year things have changed a lot -- my schedule has been turned upside down and I've been struggling to orient myself with keeping two horses in work while also keeping up with the rest of my life. I've failed at it an awful lot (which is a common theme in my blog). I've contemplated dabbling in endurance with Ruby (still haven't really made progress with that though). Cinna has grown up in leaps and bounds. Ruby has stepped up to everything I've asked her to do and then some. My geldings are still delightful semi-retired trail horses, and my teeny dogs make me laugh on a daily basis. Blogging has connected me to amazing people and helped me form some fantastic friendships. I've learned about cool new products and interesting training methods. It has really broadened my views on a variety of new things and I'm so grateful that I made the choice to step into this world.

Teeny dogs will continue to star on the blog.
