Just want to drop a quick note and solicit some opinions! I came in second place in the awesome Olympic Winners contest hosted by EventingSaddlebredStyle, and my prize was a base model bonnet from If the Bonnet Fits. I've been lusting after one of these for ages, so now that I'm getting one, I want to go big or go home! I'll be paying for some extra customization, so I need help picking a design.
Although my barn colors are black and teal, I just love matchy matchy things in general, so I have a plethora of colored saddle pads and am gradually collecting bonnets to go with a lot of them. My inclination is do to black with teal piping and maybe a row of bling, but I'm open to suggestions. Since I have multiple horses, I probably won't customize the ears (although maybe a reminder to look up would be helpful? haha), but shoot me ideas if you have any!
Side note: I can't believe I came in 2nd in the contest -- I totally winged it on my guesses, and managed to go 0 for 3 in eventing (but so did everyone else so that was okay), spot on 3 for 3 with dressage (how did THAT happen?), and I managed to correctly guess 2 of the medalists in show jumping, although not in the correct order. Wow! I impress myself sometimes ;) haha.
Congratulations! I love the idea of black with teal piping. simple and elegant.
ReplyDeleteSimple and elegant would be a nice change for me! Usually we're obnoxiously loud and inappropriate😉 haha
DeleteI say go for whatever makes you the happiest. If you want bling then bling it! Also I vote for a reminder to look up 😉
ReplyDeleteHaha at this point I'd go for anything that would keep me from staring at my horse's neck! 😂
DeleteI had a black and teal made for a friend (with rhinestones) and it came out really cute!
ReplyDeleteDo you have any pictures? (Or did she post pictures on her page?) 😁
